- A mouse with a scroll wheel
Fusion 360 is a computer program that lets you design partsālike knives, handles, or sheathsāin both 2D and 3D, and then create the cutting instructions your CNC machine needs to make them. You can model your blade, shape your handles, and set up all the toolpaths that tell your machine exactly how to cut each part. Itās the bridge between your design and the finished product.
Fusion 360 is free for personal use, so just sign up for the free plan to get started. Once you're making money, you can upgrade to the paid version with advanced features.
You donāt need to own a CNC machine to take this class. Youāll simulate every cut step-by-step inside Fusion 360, and when youāre ready to buy a machine, youāll already have the project files, workflows, and knowledge to start manufacturing parts.
